Hey everyone, please help me with this dilemma.

I have a 93 civic coupe w/ an OBDI JDM b20b swap and I'm having problem with the starting problem. Recently, the alternator went out, so i swapped that for a used '95 LS alty. That did the trick for about 2 minutes, and it died again.

I rechecked all wirings and fuses to see if any of them are shot! NONE. Checked to see if fuel is priming, CHECK. Also, the battery is newly charged, so it's good. Then I started the car up again, it runs for about 15 seconds and then shuts off. The car keeps doing that.

So I'm having trouble with it staying running.

Note: When the key is in the ACC position, there are no icons appearing. So a big guess would be that I have a used FAULTY alternator?

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and the space.

 

Just took out my dizzy today and there was oil inside the cap, could that be giving me trouble? Also, how do i know if my ignition coil or ignitor is bad?

 

Oh man...I just checked and there is sparks coming from the dizzy, so the ignitor is okay. Anyone know if the main relay can cause this problem?

Btw, the car will stay running when the hand brake is up (idles at ~ 250rpm) and dies when it's lowered.
