Default New exhaust car seems doggy

Hi all. I have a 92 lude with an h23 fully built internals. Running a garrett t3/t4 60 ar 63 exhaust had 2 1/2 exhaust from turbo back with apexi muffler. I went to the exhaust shop and had them make me a 3" down pipe with 3 inch all the way back with no converter and no muffler. Car seems slower now then it was before. Any help would be appreciated. Ive been told less back pressure better turbo response. Well it doesnt seem that way to me. I didnt retune the car yet either.

Thanks Pat

I can't think of any reason why you would loose power with a better flowing exhaust on a turbo car. The only thing it should really effect is your spool time. Because your car is tuned I don't think you will be seeing higher hp or torque numbers until you get a different tune. The only difference is you should hit those peak numbers at a slightly lower rpm.

So your thinking I just need to get it retuned. My Air fuels look good as Im accelerating witch Im watching on my wide band. when your driving along and slam the pedal to the floor car just doesnt move out like it did before. Its a little load now witch is ok for me. The exhaust ends underneath my drivers seat and is turned down towards the ground. Would this cause a problem? When you say it effects spool time are you meaning it should spool faster or slower. Im thinking faster but ive been wrong before.
