I was talking to my local muffler shop, about spool of my turbo on my sohc build motor, GT32 turbo 2 1/2dp and 3" exhaust. Right now Im running a test pipe and he was saying that putting a cat will actually help the turbo spool faster beacause it will create more backpressure and that the exhaust is just a bit to big. I always tought bigger better, that the better it breaths is helps spool better, is the muffler shop right? Thanks for the help

 

Nope, hes wrong. Best turbo exhaust is no exhaust.

 

What a dumbass. Have himm take a ride in your car with full exhaust, then with a 3" or 4" dump, and then have him tell you that your pipings too big.
