oil problem
so i was driving and i ran over a rock and it busted a HUGE hole in my oilpan. Oil spilled everywhere and on everything. So i replaced the oil pan and everything is almost good. No leaks or anything, BUT the smell of burning oil and a tiny bit of smoke. I was wondering if anyone would know where it could be coming from or is it just the old oil burning on hott surfaces that spilled everywhere when the oilpan cracked?

its just oil splash when the oil pan had burst open. I had spilled oil over the header exhaust and some was on the engine and i tried to wipe it down but i still saw smoke come out for the 2 days. Depends how much you drive your car basically. but eventually it will stop smoking. same as what he said /\ just keep checking oil level and be caution about it.
good luck with it but you shouldn't have anything to worry about
