Default R Rods w/ GSR Crank Bearing ?

I have USDM R rods and pistons to put in my gsr block. When it comes the the rod bearings do I use the Type R ones or gsr ones? I have two 23 rods and two 24 rods so I am trying to compare the bearing colors and sizes. I know the colors of the original rod bearings so is a green gsr bearing the same thickness as a green R bearing? Just wanna make sure everything goes together correctly. Thanks for your help!

I am not 100% sure on this, but I will pass on my experience. I switch to R rods in my GSR block when I built it. Originally it had Greens. I used a set of ACLS (green equivilant of Honda) and everything clearanced just fine. The only thing I could say is get a green "r" bearing and mic it. I am 90% sure they are the same as the GSR one.

Thanks for the reply? Anyone else do the same thing? The bearing coding letters are way different on the r's than on the gsr's.

Yes, I am well aware of the difference in the codes. I believe it is to enable them to obtain a more precise control on clearances. I'm telling you I believe a "green" in the ITR chart is the same thickness as a "green" in the GSR chart.

Ill check the part numbers and go from there. So we established that green is the same thickness but are the bearings structuraly different. Do I order bearings for an R or a gsr? Are they the same?
thanks
