When you say "tune it" you mean they have it on a dyno? Not just in your car and they're just punching in settings. How much are they charging for the NEO?

IDK, i guess i like the NEO, just way too many settings for me and i would prob mess with it and mess everything all up. But i do know that with the right tune you can get some hp gain out of it. Not very much, thats why i didnt buy it. You'll gain more hp from a MSD ignition that you can buy for $200 and gain more hp out of that.

The man knows the truth by instinct!

Good idea to get it installed and tuned by a professional. On the other hand, it is a piggyback unit, and most would tell you to not waste your time, but if you don't have enough on your car to warrant hondata, then do what you want. I'd like to see what the thing can do, when in a real tuner's hands.

Either way, what is your setup? If it's an N/A single cam with I/H/E, I might just suggest against the neo all together, as you'll probably be wasting your money for no really noticeable gains.

no you wont

an afc neo is pretty worthless unless you have an engine worth tuning. and at that point a neo is the last thing you should be looking at.

You definitely want someone that has experience with tuning to handle the NEO, I hear it can be confusing?

Fixed. You will damage your engine if you try to set the thing yourself, and don't know EXACTLY what you're doing. Voice of experience.

Lol, second hand experience is just as good I think, if I'm right next to my friend, helping him put this thing on, and watching him attempt to tune his pride and joy: All motor GS-R.

It is now in his driveway, non-op, and waiting for a simple LS engine. Poor guy should have just gotten it tuned by a professional immediately like I TOLD HIM TO!

$150 for dyno tuning seems really cheap to me....maybe $150 per hour or something haha

Fixed, if that were true you think guys would still be making 600whp on stock honda ignitions?

$150 isn't too expensive to tune an Air/Fuel Controller, its fairly simple once you have done it a few times.
