parts from a y8 to a6 block, interchangable?

parts from a y8 to a6 block, interchangable?
simple question... will i be able to swap parts from the y8 over to the a6 block, the reason i ask this is because i have a a6 block with internals that i want to swap over but as im lookin at it the pieces (i.e. oil pressure sending unit) do not look like there goin to work... am i better off just trying to put the a6 rods pistons etc... into the y8?
