I have a 97 obd2a civic. I have an obd2a gsr ecu. I plan on modifying my current engine harness to work with what I have. I have 99-00 Civic Si Distributor. Is the Si dizzy obd2b? Any problems using it with my existing harness without modding any dizzy wires?
If I have to mod any wires, are there any tutorials or threads regarding this?

The Si dizzy is 100% compatible with your 97 engine wire harness.
All OBD2 B-series VTEC dizzy's all use OBD2a spec plugs which are plug n play with 96-98 civics/ 96-01 integras/99-00 Si/96-97 delsol Si VTEC vehicles.
So you're good to go basically...
Although you do need to perform other wiring mods to your 97 engine harness: IACV mod, add VTEC wiring, add knock sensor wiring, extend 2nd 02 wiring.
You can read about this info on my technet site. See sig below.

Yeah I've used your site tons and it's helped me so much for my B18B1 swap. I've done all the mods for IACV etc but now I need to run Vtec wires and knock sesnsor. Problem is I don't know where to find extra connector things for the ecu..
Thanks for your help!

bitchin you should be set then.......but you will need to manually wire in teh 2nd 02 sensor if you ever run a US OBD2 ecu

heh nope, cuz EX 2nd 02 wiring is integrated with the cabin harness, whereas CX/DX/LX models have the 2nd 02 as part of the engine harness
wiring the 2nd 02 isn't that hard to manually wire in.
With the 2nd 02 sensor in hand...
02 green wire goes to ecu pin D11 (use a quicksplice to tap into the existing D11 wire; will share the signal)
02 white wire goes to ecu pin D14 (2nd 02 sensor)
02 black wire (below green wire) quicksplice to tap into A11 wire (will share the signal)
02 black wire (below white wire) goes to ecu pin A5 (2nd 02 heater control)
and you should be set

yes D11 should be there and you tap into it to share the signal.
yes you tap into the wires that are already at the pin locations i mentioned, to share the signal.
