Default Anybody running Skunk2 valves

I was thinking of adding these with a 2layer stock headgasket or Mugen headgasket... they claim to up the compression by .2-.3 points and I think the mugen headgasket is like another .3 or .4 points. My compression now is at 10.6 in b18c. Wanted to know if anyone else has tried a set-up similar to this? And if it would be worth it(money&downtime)?

With a set up like this, the comp should(hopefully)get me to around 11.0-11.2(if i can get at least .4-.6 with the valves&headgasket combo)...

Dont wanna mess with my block at this time... will be adding cams&valvetrain soon so I figured why not at the skunk2 valves...

TIA

How much do they weigh? If they weigh more you might have problems...

I was just thinking that if they raise the compression it is likely due to more material in the bowl of the valve. More material means more weight...

I'd check just to make sure!

I'LL check the weight on them, but as far as i know there coated and are flat to bring up the compression.

thanks

they are coated and they are flat thats how the compression gets raised. when I installed my valves you could tell just by holding each in your hand that the skunk2 valves were lighter than the stock b16 valves

Then how much higher does the compression raise it? It sounds like a good way to gain just a tad more in compression.

They claim two to three points... so i was thinking with those and a 2layer gasket hopefully get a total of .4-.6points with out messing with the block for now... Im at 10.6 if i can get some where close to 11.0-11.2 i'll be happy for now.

fsarfino-do you know the actual weight of the valves?

Why not just mill the head if you are looking for a mild increase in compression?
