Default can you turn intercooler core to a radiator ?

hey guys

is it possible to turn a intercooler into a radiator ?

simply by welding new tanks on the ends and welding 2 hose fittings and cap fitting ?

would it work all good still ?

I have no idea whether this would be sufficient to cool your engine. I am very curious as to why you would want to do this?

it would work, but not too well. the water would flow though it too fast to be cooled well.

it wouldn't work very well. radiators are designed to cool water, and air/air intercoolers are designed to cool air.

would the thickness of a intercooler compensate for it flowing too freely ?

should i try this and post my results ?

You'd have to make it huge, so not really, why not just get a small radiator from a VW golf or something.

how would using an intercooler help? its way thicker than a radiator...

your turbo is so big that you can no longer fit a halfsize radiator in the engine bay??

you have no room left for a radiator, but you have room for ANOTHER intercooler? or are you planning on running no intercooler?

this all sounds like a big pile of the suck. don't use an intercooler as a radiator. you will be very disappointed.

you need to modify your manifold and downpipe so you can run a half size radiator, and intercooler.
