It's embarassing that this is my first post, but I really need help fixing the daily before I make a build thread.

Car is a 1990 Honda Civic DX with automatic transmission, D15B engine. Modifications include a K&N drop-in filter, gauge cluster from a same year MT Civic SI , aftermarket stereo + speakers and an OLD remote start system.

The main problem is the running lights do not turn on while the engine is running. They turn on just fine when the car is off but they shut off automatically when the car starts, the headlights still work however. Since all my driving is done at night it would be really nice to get these lights working so people behind me could see me. This also happened when I bought the car so the mods shouldn't have caused this.

Other small problems I have noticed that may or may not be related:
- Driver side speaker cuts in/out. Hitting it gets it working
- Dome light doesn't work on "turn on when doors open" setting
- Intermittently, tach needle bounces around in tune with the turn signals
- 3rd brake light doesn't work. But I think that's because the connector is bad
- Red led on ecu flashes 17 times, meaning something with the VSS (I'm guessing that's because of the tach swap?)

My dad tells me it has to be something to do with the remote start system, and if that's it I know I can handle just pulling the old wires and re-soldering everything. I was just wondering if there is a specific device or sensor in the wiring system that handles the running lights, that i could check to see if it was busted.
