You need to trim the pins slightly in order for it to fit.

I don't want to be mean or anything but I don't think anyone should help you with this.

If you're adding that emblem, you might as well add this

Emblem is 11 hp not 10 hp like someone said. That sticker is 55 HP yO!!!!!

It is, but the OP's isn't, and he's adding an emblem, and since he is, he might as well add that side type r sticker Might as well add a billboard to the top of the car.

Don't worry about it though, people will already laugh at you because of the emblem. People who don't know about civics, won't know what a type R is nor even notice the emblem. The people who care enough to look at the trim of civic, will know your civic is not a Type R and just say "Stupid ricer." I'm not being an *** but it's the truth.

There will also be idiots who don't know **** about a Type R or what it's supposed to look like, but know that a Type R is fast, and will steal your car only because of the emblem, thinking it's a Type R. Just like people who insist on painting their 99-00 coupes Electron Blue Pearl and removing the EX badge. Many even put on the SI badge. People will think, OMG SI! then steal it. Then you will feel like a complete ******* because your car was never a SI or Type R to begin with and they stole something they didn't want.

Just put your replacement emblem on.

I think most people here assume you're referring to an emblem that says "TYPE-R", not the replacement red "H" that it seems as if you've purchased.

Putting a red "H" on your car is nowhere near worthy of the type of ridicule it seems to have drawn in this thread, and if you like it, you should install it.

I mean I didn't want to sound like an *** or anything. Maybe adding an EX emblem to a DX is somewhat understandable yet still weird but people will still know the difference. But adding a Type R is going TOO far.

As far as covering up the holes, would be like covering any hole really. If you want it to look like it was never there and have the best result, you could fill it in with a tiny bit of bondo and paint it. It all depends how clean you want it to look.

I did, and it still reads to me as if he's trying to describe the front and rear "H" emblems. He also asked how to cover the remaining holes, and only the "H" emblem leaves holes behind it. The trim level emblems are simply secured with adhesive.
