Okay every time I come to a stop sign, or light, & pull the car out of gear, the rpms fall quickly to 650-750rpms than pops back up to like 1100rpms then it slowly goes down to normal idle of 650-750. What can be causeing this?
Also is it normal for rpms to go up to 800-900rpms when I turn on my headlights, I have HIDs in them.

is it just popping up once? or is it bouncing back and forth? theres a thread for idle surge. and yeah w/ headlights on the RPM should be about 100 above regular. in the manual it says w/o any electronics or a/c or anything RPM is 700. w/ "load" 790. good luck

well most things that control ur idle is on ur IM. u have the throttle body to do that, throttle cable, egr, fitv, etc. etc. but i normally hear about bouncing idle, not just 1 bounce.. troubleshoot all the stuff listed first, so u can either have it fixed, or rule em out. pretty cheap too. just need carb cleaner + time

 

i think my car idles like at 650-600 rpm....wtf?

 

lol im sorry. i have same thing cept mine bounces more then once....all i know is ive tried lots and nothi ngs fixed i know how u feel. if u figure it out lemme know plz

 

have you tried cleaning out your IACV?
