cannot figure it out. 93 hatch with a d15. everything appears to be stock, down to the radio. put in a new battery. came back the next day-dead. jumped it with the charger, drove it around(cut it of and started it again to see if i gave the battery enough juice). parked- 2 hrs later and its totally dead again.

grounds look good. sanded chassis for the neg. battery ground.
tester read same voltage on every ground(not all-i only tested the three main ones(valve cover,tranny,thermo. housing).

wtf.
i am horrible w/electrical. no clue.

if you are trying to check to see if a ground is good first put the black lead of your multimeter on the negitive post of battery then take your red lead and place it on ground wire if you see any voltage then the ground is bad or has high resistance. and as far as a battery drain all you have to do is once you know all your grounds are good then disconnect negitive battery and place one lead on negitve post and the other lead on the ground cable that you pull off of that post set your meter to amps and remeber most meters only go up to 10 amps so dont try to start car while set up this way but you should be able to see some ampreage draw if there is some then start unpluging fuses untill ampreage draw goes away once you got it narrowed down to a fuse start disconecting one thing at a time that is on that fuse once you get that far you should have a pretty good idea was is drawing the ampreage but if you have any problems then just let me know

i used a test light. put the clamp on the neg battery terminal and touched the chassis with the other end. the light came on-bad. i disconnected fuses and relays until it went out. it ended up being the rear defroster relay. for anyone that cares.

 

u leave ur headslights on?
