Default bad ecu?

I jump the ECU and theres no flashing CEL. It just stays on solid CEL. I'm not sure if this means if the ECU is bad or nott. Does the CEL flash if the engine doesnt have any problems? A few days ago my ecu had code 6,10, and 20. I disconnected the battery try starting again and it wouldnt start. And I try jumping it again and this time around the CEL stays on solid. Help? Or could a bad ecu ground leads to this?

Well being that it is throwing those 3 codes, have you looked into the fact that there are malfunctions in your motor?

6 ECT - water temperature sensor

10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor

20 Electrical load detector

What year civic are you running, what motor and what ECU?

well i didnt really look into it because i suspected that the ecu might be bad and might be just throwing random codes. so i unplug the battery and when i try starting the car again it still wouldnt start and i tried jumping it again and its just a solid CEL

Then there are obviosly things wrong with those 3 things in your motor, they should not be ignored. The computer throws the code for a reason, they are malfunctioning.

6 ECT - water temperature sensor
Does the temp guage in your cluster read at normal operating temp?

10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor
This code isnt possibly for a p28... IAT sensors are from OBD2 motors only.

20 Electrical load detector
Might want to get that checked out, alternator related?

Make sure you are pulling the codes correctly

The ECU would throw those codes when the car doesnt start. i know how to jump the ecu correctly. but it doesnt throw the code 6,10,20 anymore. The CEL just stays on solid after i jump it.

You sure your making a complete connection? If your in second accessory, it will keep the CEL on, you may not be making a complete circut when jumping it. If you think it may be soemthing bad, i would bring it to the local auto place and have them pull the codes.

When you turn the key forward twice, just before engaging the ignition/starter, like when you can run your radio, power accessories, heat/ac (fans rather) without the motor being on. You know, when your battery and Oil light stay on?

but isnt that how you pull codes anyways by putting it to II and by connecting it with a paper clip? yeah if i were to take the paper clip out, the CEL goes away. But if i put the clip in the CEL just stays on Solid.
