Default Jell-O clutch

My clutch pedal is pretty loose, Clutch grabs fine, just the pedal doesn't force your foot back much. Could this be my master and slave? At first I thought it was the clutch, but it grabs fine like I said before. Help plz

Could be, how old is your clutch? When clutches wear out, the pressure plate splines lose their feel, leaving you with a softer feel over time.

Depends on how the clutch was treated. Clutches can last over 200k miles , some can last 10k miles, really depends on how the car is/was driven. If your master/slave cylindar is not leaking any fluids, then it sounds like your clutch is on its way out

****, that's what I was afraid of. So a soft clutch wouldn't mean master or slave? how do you know if those are no good?

Im bad with clutches I got my EK with a brand new clutch and when I blew my motor 20000 miles later my clutch was down to the rivets...oops
If you have a D I have a stage 1 D series CC gravity clutch you could use...
Make sure you arent leaking anything though also have someone help you bleed the clutch line maybe you got some air in your line...

Clutch master cylinders can be bad and not be leaking externally. I believe the clutch master cylinder test is similar to the brake master cylinder test, but you should consult the service manual for the specific test. Slave cylinder problems are most commonly bad seals that cause an external leak, but master cylinders are a different story.

If it is my clutch, all I need is a new clutch right?! or do I need a new flywheel as well?

IF it is your clutch, whether or not you need a new flywheel is yet to be seen. You should atleast have the flywheel resurfaced, but if it shows signs of heat cracking (much like on a brake rotor) you will need to replace it. If you have it all apart though, why not just upgrade the whole assembly with a performance clutch and flywheel.

I just had the same thing happen to me last week. Check the slave cylinder also. It's just two bolts, like they said above usually it was the seal in my case it was.

I did my auto to manual conversion in march. I know I've done alot of abuse to this clutch already so I wonder if this clutch would make it even a year lol. It wasn't me learning that killed it, I already knew how to drive stick but took me a lil just to get fully used to it. I should have been smarter and waited till I learned to drive 100% before I tried getting it up on the metal ramps of mine. Lots of clutch burning there Now, I can get the car up on the ramps 100x faster than I could with my auto. I'm not worried though because I have a OEM clutch that has about 80% life left.

Weirdly enough I want the clutch to die just so I can tackle the job of replacing it, but of course i'm not gonna kill it just for that. Just will wait till the day comes. The guy who did my swap can my a clutch in under an hour. He did my swap in half a day. Me? I have no Idea how long it would take.. We all get better eventually though!

Does anyone know what a shop would charge for a clutch install? just labor, I would probably get my own clutch to save some money.

I think my shop charges $600-700, depending on the vehicle.
