Default cel light

I just finished my b series swap in a 1994 del sol and i dont have a cel in normal driving. If you run it past say 5000 rpms the light comes on. I noticed if you hold it steady at 3000 rpms the light comes on. If you turn the car off though it goes away. what could possibly be causing it. thanks

Drive until it comes on, and then when it does, read it your self with the DIY technique here:

Well, that is odd. Sometimes you can get a blinking Check engine light, which will indicate that there are a large amount of Codes being thrown (happened to me just after a swap, when working out kinks) or it indicates that you are running the wrong ecu ( again, too many codes coming up)

Only way to check it is to find someone that has a code reader (those $100 ones you can get at like napa) and read it as soon as it pops up as your driving. Thats the only solution i can figure at the moment.

My '95 Honda Civic Del Sol has that "Vtech" stamped right onto the top of the engine. I have no idea of what that means or what it does. How do you know if vtech engages and what does it do when it does engage?

We all have to learn, somehow. Thanks.

When vtech engages, you should hear a dial tone
it activates when you press the button labeled "phone"...which, should be located near the top, close to the reciever.

I don't see how... I could drive my car without a PCV valve and not get a light...
