Default 2001 Civic EX = Short Ram only??

Looking at the Engine compartment of my 2001 EX Civic it seems there is no room for the long pipe of a CAI. Am I going to have to get a ridiculous Short-Ram (I hate them)...

youve never installed a CAI before have you... because youd know you can use both.

why do you hate SRI? neither give you any negligible gains... the CAI benefits are all in your head.

with an auto tranny, a injen RD Series intake will fit. its a CAI by design but can be converted into a SRI with NO MODIFICATIONS. just take off the extra tubing and bam, its a SRI.

i dont know where all this "b/c its an auto, i had to modify it" thats nothing but BS unless you bought a ebay intake.

I should have been more clear, the auto tranny is bigger in size over the 5spd so it gets in the way of a CAI thats why they dont offer CAI for auto's. But I belive Injen does have a true CAI for auto's. So it all depend really on what transmission you have and if spending $250 for a CAI is worth it unless you just want the sound and looks under the hood

i just posted it, the Injen RD series intake is made specifically for an auto. it can be CAI AND SRI.
