oil light and knocking! HELP!!
i have 95 gsr swap in a civic, last night i was leaving my house, the car was warm, i pulled out of my nieghborhood and started to get on it in 1st gear. my oil and check engine light came on right away, i turned it off and pulled over. i checked the oil and it was right where it should be. i let it sit for a minute then i started it back up! the CE went away but the oil light was still on. I was 20 seconds away from my house so i drove it back there! it wasnt making any noises or knocking last night, it sounded normal. This morning i get up to go to work, back the car out of the garage and i notice a slight ticking coming from the motor! what should be my next move? i cant really afford to mess more **** up tinkering with it so any advice woulb be greatly appreciated. thanks
Well it's hard to determine what the "ticking" noise could be from your description, but if you are sure it's not the ordinary valve-ticking noise, then I would take it to get inspected right away. The last thing you want is to blow your motor completely because you didn't want to spend a few dollars to get it looked at.
Just my 2 cents.
Just my 2 cents.
