Took the civic on it's second road trip today and made it about 8 miles and it started hammering like a lifter or a rod sounded like it wasn't oiling the top end the light came on. I pulled over checked the oil which was full and when I throttled it up the light went out but then the noise went away and the light came on and will not go out. So I hauled it home on my car trailer. It starts runs smooth but the light does not go out. I figure I will change the oil in case there's trash in it and do a oil pressure check. Anyone have any advice or ideas???????

 

Pull the oil pan and see if the oil pump pick up screen is clogged. No telling what is in there.
