I want to get a MSD ignition for my B18C1, should I get the SCI or 6AL? Let me know what you guys use? also which coil as well, ss or balster 2? Thanks>

 

i would rather get a 6al...they have the revlimiter option on there and is more capable of adding other msd goodies. if you are interested...i'm trying to get rid of my 6al. its brand new never used or taken out of the box. i just decided i didn't want it and its just sitting there now. send me a msg and we can talk about this if you want

 

Well I would get the SCI because its made just for imports and imports only. It does not matter if you get one with a rev limiter because your car still uses its stock rev limiter. And go with the Blaster SS coil its really good.

unless you are going to use N2O or go FI setup, leave your distributor alone....
from few friends who had MSD units the distributors (igniter) didn't last longer then 8 months....be careful....

honda distributors can support 210whp and 9000rpm without any problems, so invest the many in something that will give you better gains

 

if you look at the specs of the 6al and the sci...they are the same. paying for the "sci" name. just what i thought....
