I have a weird electrical problem,

I was driving last night with the headlights on and the instrument panel dimmed, the ABS light went on, the coolant temp went all the way hot and the tach/speedo died. It was making some strange clicking sounds and I believe that I smelled some electrical burning. My headlights were still working, but all of the interior electronics were wigging out.

I checked the fuses today and they are ok, any ideas?
