Anyone here just replace their shocks without replacing the factory springs?
I don't want to lower my itr.. just would like the flexibility of my ride..
Please let me know what you think... was it worth it?
Thanks meng..

You my freind might be driving the wrong car, maybe a Buick would be better?
you said "was it worth it", you bought the Tokico shocks already???
or did you mean to say "is it worth it".
If you were to replace the stock shocks and stick with the itr springs, I would suggest KYB AGX shocks.

. i believe the stock suspension on a ITR to be very forgiving compared to these other aftermarket parts.for instance, i've sat on H&Rs before and now know the difference between ride qualities
I have ridden in a ITR with stock springs and Bilstien replacements and the car kicks major *** in the turns now. Good upgrade keep stock spring already cornor balanced
go will different shocks... there is a post somewhere in which they,(GC,Koni) or whoever it was, had put the Tokicos on a shock dyno and they were not even as good as the stockers... and that was at the hardest setting. Someone here took them there to be tested for some reason. The Bilsteins are at least a tried and true SCCA option...

Shock dynos are the only way you can find out what a shock is doing.
Dunno what's so funny.

Look at my signature... the on the hardest setting the Tokicos do not control the OE ITR springs as well as the OE dampeners do... I drive both setups during the week... I will probably replace the Tokicos on my GSR with OE ITR dampeners/LCRs when they take their last ****. Since the GSR is a grocery getter/kid hauler, I'm in no hurry... Since I've heard so much good about the ITR specific Bilstiens, thats what I'll use on my R when it's time...
Zeus- who will probably get some damn nice race ready coilovers some day and set them to a cornerweighted OEish height...
