i cleaned, wetsanded, cleaned again before i painted it.
how long does the clearcoat take to dry? should i just wetsand it with 1000+grit and clear it again?

How far away were you when spraying the clear? It's possible you were putting it on too dry, you want to put clear on a bit heavier than base. Also read the can and see if they have a flash time between coats, and make sure to follow it. Some clears are 2-3 mins flash, others can be 10-15 min flash, it all depends.

alright did a little work. I wetsanded the lip with 1000 then 2000 grit. the crystaly look is now gone and its all smooth.
Thing is, the paint looks a little dull now after i washed it. Will clear make it that much more shiny?
Also does it matter what brand clear i use? im pretty much out of automotivetouchup clear
