The reason I call this a budget build is b/c most of the parts or pieces for this I've gotten for damn cheap or free. The hybrid part b/c it'll combine 3 engine series, F, H, and if my calcs are correct, K. Why? B/c I can and I want to.
F23 crank - 97mm stroke, 55mm mains - freebie
H22a4 block - 55mm mains - blown from someone's turbo build - $120
F23 Crower Rods - (new) found on ebay for $300
I have all of the above right now. I'm just posting this to get some opinions, thoughts, direction....you get the idea.
K24 Manley Pistons - (appx 9:1 CR w/ F23 rods) - turbo friendly, 87mm, only pistons I could find that met the criteria I wanted.
Sleeves?? - unfamilar with this for the most part, good brands? This is where I'd rather spend a good amount of money on for reliability.
ARP Head studs - H23
H23 head - cheaper than H22, no vtec to mess with
Custom cams from Web Cams - 272/272?
This will obviously be a turbo build, not exactly sure on what size turbo or specs would best suit this motor once its complete.

not sure about the k series pistons, they might work I have no idea. Keep in mind though if you are doing a build from scratch like this, even if you get parts cheap, it will still add up. Remember parts such as: new oil pump, water pump, bearings, new gaskets/seals, headgasket, timing belt, and machine work.
Just some random thoughts here, why not use an f23 block... it is cheap enough you can get one for almost nothing (hell I got 2 complete engines for free) and it has iron liners instead of frm like the h22.
That also means you could use a cheaper and still proven performing wiseco piston or whomever really is the best suited to your budget.
And you would still be good on the rest of it, h23 arps, h23 head, web cams, etc.

I had an F23 block that I got for free with the crank but no block girdle or main caps for it. I thought I could buy them seperately but that was a no go. So I scrapped the block.
F23 has been done...I wanted something different.

Just a suggestion to keep with the budget theme of your proposed build... I can easily get you f23 parts (as I said I have 2 motors here I got for free), its too bad you scraped the block so quickly.
What your suggesting has also been done previously... its a variation of a h23/h22 hybrid and the "g" series hybrids.
Sounds like you have a plan established generally how you want it though... curious if you have worked out what route you will take on the more minor details. Which water pipe/ thermostat housing your going to use, what headgasket, which timing belt, etc.

Always a flamer...
Its not your time or money now is it?
As far as the head gasket, timing goes - All H23. Haven't looked into the waterpipe fitment but I think I'll refer to pirate mcfred's builds for some guidance.

You'd best be looking in the Hybrid forum, or prelude & accord forums. This is more turbo/SC/nos related forum, and questions about hybrid motors get more answers in the Hybrid forum.
