need help I dont think my motor should be running like a boat....
I previously replaced my blown D16Y7 in my 96 3 door hatch with a 2000 Ex D16y8. The motor, engine harness, and ECU are all from a 2000 EX. Firstly I couldnt get it running , wouldnt turn over or anything than I figured out it was because I forgot to attach the motor and trans ground wires. After doing so the car now starts with a few problems. First off after getting it operating "properly" the fuel pump keeps priming after that 4 seconds or what ever and doesnt seem to shut off. secondly it runs but poorly if that it runs and sound like a boat motor running it sounds really slow and it idles like motorcycle a loud chug but nowhere near uniform. The motor is shaking alot slowly but a good half inch back and forth. There is a CEL but my code reader is being borrowed riught now so i need to know if there is a way to read it otherwise. so here is where i need help.
1 I need to know if anybody can show me a distrubutor diagran to see wich wire plugs in where on the cap.
2 Second Im not sure if I put the dizzy on at 0 deg or 180deg would it run this horribly it the dizzy is off by 180 deg?
3 Why Isnt my fuel pump shutting off?
4 Would any of this be a timing issue?
Any help apprectiated thanks

Hmm that would explain a constant prime in the pump it doesnt shut off at all
Some new news, Today I went out and got some new sparks pulled the old ones one of them, cylinder 1's plug is black with high carbon build up all the others seem to have a sulfur like build up on them which is white.
I noticed while having the car running that if I loosened the bolts on the dizzy as it sits, And advanced it forward and backward the more forward I went with it the less shaking occured in the engine. So I guess Ill try spinning the dizzys crank 180 and see what happens.
I am pretty convinced that it is running on only 2 cylinders 3&4 seem to be just going along for the ride while 1&2 do all the work the motor runs, revs , and returns to idle just fine while in nutral but one you put it in gear you have to rev it like a bat out of hell just to make it move a foot needless to say with my waryness and its weakness it wont even pull itsself out of the garage.
All cylinders are getting spark but Im not sure about fuel how do I check this?
Hope this helps I really need this thing ready to go by the 20'th of this month so any input appreiciated.

Alright guys I went down took the dizzy off and I looked at everything turned it 180 put it back on and now I noticed im a moron the thing was wired up wrong and Ihad 3&4 mixed up so it was only running on 2 cylinders because of that started it up ran like a champ so the shakyness is fixed now my only probs are that Icant get the fuel pump to shut off firstly and I have a CEL so I need to get that checked....
