the type r is the only one with the lsd not the type s and what do you mean would the si tranny mate up ?? do you mean match up ... their both k series ... i would think the problem would only be in the platform of the car rather than the tranny bolting together with the block ... but i could be wrong cause the dc5 uses the k20a2 (02-05 type s) and the k20z1 (06 type s) while the 06 civic si uses k20z3 ... so dont take my word for it ...

I'm pretty sure it wont work. Different mounts on the 06 si tranny. However you can use a diff from one, that's what I did. LSD is ftw!

Why not put a 06+ Si diff in your DC5 tranny?

The fitment with the 06 si trannt is not the problem. The problem your going to have is with the VSS sensor. The plug on the wire harness for that is different from he plug on the rsx wire harness. Most people say just to use the VSS sensor from your rsx, but i don't think it will fit in the 06 Si tranny.

The ITR LSD is probably the cheapest route if you plan on staying naturally aspirated. I know that you can get them for decent prices on ClubRSX and I know that HMotorsOnline has them for around $650ish. The Quaife is a great one as well, but it's a little bit more expensive but it's the route I will take eventually since I am boosted.

If you're paying 650ish for an ITR lsd.. your getting bent over. They are not that expensive. I had one and paid 515 shipped straight from japan.

I was using HMotorsOnline as an example of where to get them, of course if you look on say... ClubRSX I am sure they can be ALOT cheaper. Don't take things so literal...

lsd is not in the k20a2 in the type s, but in the rsx lsd isnt needed stock because when i drove one i didn't feel any torque steer, but thats in a stock rsx not a hatch.
