so after my compressor is on for a min or two it starts spewing oil out of this bung, anyone know why/what the bung is for?

 

I believe that is the pressure relief valve. It shouldn't be spewing out the compressor oil.

The relief valve is replaceable, the o-ring should be replaced too (applying a thin coat of refrigerant oil before replacement.)

 

you may have put to much freon or oil in it

 

so whats the solution for that? Just run it until it ***** out enough oil?

 

replace valve, it looks beat up. and yes, let it **** out enough heheh. i overcharged mine at work, and it did the same thing.. but it was a burst

 

Do you think its more likely that the valves fucked up or that its overcharged? because itl run for a few min before it starts spewing....
