Replacing a rear quater panel?

Replacing a rear quater panel?
I found a hatch i want to buy, but it has a bit of rust on the rear panel. My friend is telling me to just find a panel that doesnt have rust on it, and replace it, anyone have a how to? it's for an EG btw.

Easier said than done. It requires precise cutting and measuring. Not something that is easy to do.

You can find find partial replacement quarters on ebay. You also need to know someone with a welder or take it to a body shop.

If you have to ask, you can't do it. You'd have to do a lot of cutting / welding. We've done it at my house, and it's not a whole lot of fun.
