93 Ex motor in to a 92 CX
I was thinkin about getting the b-series, like the LS one but i found some guy that is selling the 93 ex motor tas built just need a headgasket for 200 just the motor, what do you guys think?

Another cool thing is if you truly have a 92 civic, you will NOT need to wire up the D16Z6 (sohc vtec) engine for vtec. The VTEC wiring is already embedded in the CX wire harness at the ecu. All you need to do is make sure the guy gives you the D16Z6 engine harness + P28 ecu w/ the motor, plug it all in, and blammo you got vtec.
Is the guy selling you complete engine, trans, ecu, engine harness, all for $200? if so, it's a good deal. You can reuse your complete engine mounts, axles, and shift linkage on the D16Z6 btw, too.
That's cool. you should do it. It's affordable and you'll gain your own experience on engine swapping. Plus SOHC VTEC motors are fun to mess with too....cheaper than a b-series, so there's less tounge-biting if something goes arai.

The guy is just selling the engine, but he said its completly rebuild with new pistons, rods, rings, and other things but all i need is to buy a headgasket so he can put the motor together. So all im getting is the motor for $200, then i got to go parts hunting

you'll need to get a 92-95 Si/EX transmission (Si & EX models use the same parts btw), a P28 ECU, and 92-95 EX/Si engine harness (or you can reuse your CX harness & just add the wires for the vtec components), and lasstly you'll need a 92-95 Si/EX exhaust manifold w/02 sensor, since the CX one is garbage.
