Trouble Codes Pt.2
First off the dumbass at the dealership read the codes wrong......he said I had a code 13 and 22. Said code 22 is variable valve timing oil pressure switch. First off, code 22 was actually 3, second off, i don't have a vtech engine that i believe has the variable valve timing (correct me if I'm wrong), and third off, according to the manual I picked up today an 89 Civic's trouble codes doesn't go past 20. This dealership mechanic is not very bright in my book. Anywho's....according to the manual, code 3 is the atmosphere pressure sensor and the 13 is the map sensor....judging how they both deal with "vacuum and pressure" I imagine what would cause those two to go off at the same time would be a vacuum leak right? What are your guys opinion?

Yes it is very good idea that it is to do with vaccum check the plug that goes into our MAP.I am guessing you have a motor swap???

nope...just the 1.5L inline 4. I went for a quick drive just now and at certain throttle positions I'll get a high pitch whistle and if i move the throttle a little more or a little less it'll go away. I bet that's my problem. Problem being sorting through all the vacuum line...UGH
