Default ECU trouble

I have a jdm b16 in my ek dx hatch. It's being run on a chipped p28. The car doesn't rev past 5k and breaks up with any amount of throttle. It also doesn't pull at full throttle. It's like the car went into limp mode. I hooked my friends p72 and the car runs fine. We hooked my p28 up to his car and his car ran fine. It wasn't breaking up and it reved past 5k. My question is what could cause this or why won't my car run on a chipped ecu?

i'll check it out. i feel dumb for saying this but i completely looked over the dash harness plug that plugs into the ecu. i'm missing it. it's like it's cut or something like that so there is no way to check my CEL. i think i need to find a new dash harness so i can check my CEL and hopefully i can find out what's going on with my car.
