I was wondering, for those who got pulled over and got there hoods popped what did the cops make you do when you had a junkyard turbo in there? Instantly a 1,000$ ticket? or they ask you to take it off?

 

they dont make me pop my hood.. they know what hood im from and ill pop them

 

hate kali for their strict laws and stuff.....reason i move out of state....here in ok no limit to what you do to ur car.....no smog not even safty inspections..........

i dont think it matters if its junkyard or not. i doubt the cop would let you go if he found a holset top mount, or a saab 48/42....

what matters is CARB exemption, and the only way to get this is through buying an edelbrock kit, or a greddy kit (matched to your car.) you can look for phony stickers, but they're getting harder to find...

i believe you'll get a ref ticket, but dont quote me here, do some research!

So you left cali and moved to Oklahoma so you can mod your car?? I would have picked a better place than Oklahoma or just bought a faster car.

 

All you get is a ref ticket. If you get it signed off you could fight the ticket and win.

 

alright so, ill get pulled over, get a ref ticket, if i take it off they wont charge me? ( ive never had a ref ticket before so i wouldn't know how they work )

because i got a deal on a complete turbo setup for 500$ and im thinking on boosting for the hell of it (not the cheap ebay ****) just to get the taste of the turbo. but i wouldn't know what to do if i got pulled over and whatnot. my freinds told me the cop told em to take it off and that was it.
