Default 3mm Cometic headgasket on a jdm b18c1 compression ratio?

What will the compression be with the stock 10.6:1 and a Cometic 3mm headgasket?

i believe the 3mm will lower the compression about 1 point, so 9.6:1 in your case. remember you will need adj cam gears to get the timing back in check.

band has nothing to do with it. the thickness of the gasket can change compression. thicker = lower compression thinner = higher

I dont know what it will be on the b18c1, but the F20C out of the S2000 drops down to 9.0 to 1 with a 3mm headgasket and stock is 11.0 to 1

The car will be a pig, small part due to the lower compression (3mm should go way more than 1pt), and the big part due to the fact that you loose all the quench area in the combustion chamber. I highly recommend against thick headgaskets...

Its going to be boosted, I figured that 10.6:1 isnt too boost friendly.

dude pretty much every honda motor has been boosted. people boost s2k's and they have some really high compression. Your not the first or even the 100th to turbo a jdm gsr motor. Tuning is critical. THE END
