Default A/T P28 ..converting to M/T... any suggestions?

i just aquired an automatic p28 ecu, and im trying to convert it to manual.. the logic that im using is comparison.. i have a manual p28 that ive been comparing resisters and deciding wich ones need to be removed from the automatic board..

both boards are identical... the only difference is the automatic has bout 10 or so more resistors .. HAS any one ever done this? of am i going in the wrong path?
any suggestions or comments are open..

remove RP17 and RP18, place a jumper across RP18.
that's all that needs to be done.

the resistors that you cut out will not matter, you simply didn't have to do it.
