Default 350-400 hp can astock head handle it ?

i have a built block with stock sleeves and i was wondering if the stock head will hold up to the power? its not my daily but i cant help but to want to drive it all the time! will it last? i wont be beating on it all the time just at the track and stuff!

LS? Valvetrain fails at higher RPM than intended use, not horsepower.

my head is all stock parts :
b16 casting and valves
itr springs and retainers
gsr cams

currently making low 400s spinning to 8700

No difference it what it "can handle". Get on the dyno, see where you start tapering off and figure a safe rev limit from there.

last year i seen a guy run 9's in pomona on what he claimed a stock head. he said no port work, only valvetrain.

i definately beleive it.

we usually rev stock head motors to stock rev limit or maybe 200-300rpms higher. they can be pushed farther but we dont take that risk nor suggest it for customer cars.
