My car is only running on 3 cylinders and i dont really know why..........i was pulling out of burger king and i didnt even punch it, it just started bogging down and the lights were getting dimmer, but i drove it about 2 miles home going about 25 and then when i got home i noticed one of the resistors for the injector wiring was broken off. so i rewired it how it is suppose to be with the resistor going to the black and yellow signal wire on the injector clip and the harness and also got a brand new ecu with my chip in it but now it still only runs on 3 and when i unplug the injector clip the idle doesnt drop.......any suggestions? could it be that my chip just went bad? thanks

I had the same issue when I was boosted. Re-soldered the injector that wasn't working, and was good to go.

You sure all your connections are solid?

 

ya all the connections are solid but i might have the resistor on the wrong wire i have a black and yellow wire and then a red wire coming from the harness? which one gets the resistor? thanks

 

also could something else have blown? cuz i have a brand new ecu with my chip but idk wat else could go wrong.........

okay all the wiring is correct because i just checked it, from the injector wiring to the harness to the ecu.........wat else could it be?

 

have you tried another ecu ? if you haven't try that and see if that helps

the injectors could have went bad but i have only really seen dsm 450s do that or the resister went bad how old are the injectors and what are they??

 

i have dsm 450s but how can i test them besides taking off the fuel rail and seeing if they all spray? could i hook up my stock injectors with my stock ecu and just start it to see if it runs on all 4 cylinders?

 

bump all the injectors are getting fuel and spraying i have spark in all 4 cylinders.........when i unplugg the injector clip for cylinder 1 the idle doesnt drop so its definitely wiring but idk where anyone?

 

hey m having the same isssue??.... did u resolve it... i'm having it with the RC 750z... it runs gud if u plug in the stock ones.. but goes into 3 cylinder mode on the bigger injectors.....if u resolved it do temme how??..
