Default Engine builders need your opinoin, please

I just got this block off a fellow forum junky like myself. Its an H22a4 block that had spun 2 bearings. The thrust bearing and center main.

As you can see the thrust bearing dug into the journal and the ledge is almost gone.

This is what is should look like its the other side. I just got back from picking it up in California. So before I was going to spend any money on it. I wanted to get it checked out by a machine shop. The machinist told me it was junk ,as this engine uses thrust washers , if it used thrust bearing flange it might be okay. Well I would like to get more opinions on this. Before I try to talk to the guy I got it from. He had told me it was checked out and I had seen pics of the block but it didnt look that bad. The motor I plan to build is a 500 hp turbo motor and I would hate to make a mistake on the block. I'm concerned that lateral play will be to much and I'll spin a bearing or worse.

Not necessarily, it could be used as a coffee table or something.
