blue wire???
not really important Just curious, on every civic I've seen from 92 up there is a blue wire located under the hood close to the firewall on the driver side next to a metal bracket that is held down by the bolts. the wire is either on or below this bracket. it also has a plastic plug on the end and sometimes with tape around the plug. does anyone know what its for?

Yes, but there is also a blue wire behind your gauge cluster which you can tap into.

yeah but I dont have to go through the cluster to install the tach. the dame thing is to big to install on the left top side of the cluster lol so where i'm running the wires will be through the side callume and to the fire wall up under the dash, clean and un noticeable.
You can make wires run through the top small vent if you mount the tach on the dash. Just wrap with black electrical tape to make it look cleaner. You can hook up all four tach wires to the wires behind the cluster.
