Hood Damper Diy?

Hood Damper Diy?
Anyone seen or done a hood damper diy? I know that some people have used the hatch dampers for this, but haven't seen a specific install or diy of it. It should be fairly easy, I just wanted to see or hear how they made the brackets to bolt it up to the car. Any help is appreciated.
