Future turbo....Valve springs and retainters
Hey, recently I got my first integra! I have been missing out. They are awsome cars and i got a gsr. Everything is stock. In the future I am going to turbo it and I had some questions.
1. What all in the engine to i need to replace to handle like 8+ psi.
2. For now until I get enough for a turbo I am going to replace Valve springs and retainers, which ones should i get and Cams.
3. If I got the stuff above how much would it cost to have a performance shop put it in or how hard is it for a noob to do?
Any input help
Thx

Welcome to the integra life.
If you search, you will find a lot of topics on your questions. Do some reading and you will find your answers.
That being said, springs and retainers isn't the ideal place to start on a stock engine. It will require tearing your engine apart and will net no power gains. Besides, the stock valve train will be more than adequate to 8000 rpm. In addition NA cams will be different than turbo cams. You need to do a lot more research before you start asking questions about engine building and turbos.
Good luck.

good purchase! my stock gsr was boosted for over 60,000 miles with between 8-11lbs of boost with no problems. turbo it stock. just stay under 10 lbs.
cool...truthfully i probably wont get a turbo for a long time so i wanted to upgrade cams and valve springs and retainers to gain power above the 7600 or 7800 mark and more because its just cool to be be redlining it with friends that cant get anywhere close to that.
so what else would i need to replace to do this and how much would it cost to have a pro install it all....
