Brake light comes on when raining?
i did search the subject but didn't see anything that corresponded directly to my problem. Whenever it is raining or right after it has rained my emergency brake light comes on. Most times it will go off after 5-10 minutes of driving. I haven't noticed it any other time. 99 Accord EX 4cyl. I don't feel any difference in braking while it is on. Anybody got any thoughts?
that light comes on for any errors in your break system not just directly related to your emergency brake. im not sure what the problem is, it could be as little as a sensor problem though.
There's 2 sensors that set off the lamp = handbrake lever and float in brake fluid reservoir. Either one might be screwed up.
But I'll assume you don't get much rain INSIDE the console, so look around the brake fluid reservoir. There's 2 wires going to the reservoir cap. Maybe the insulation is rotting & they short together when they get wet?

I am pretty sure there is a technical service bulletin for the 6th gen Accords have a floater cap issue. I had the same problem. Just change that out and you should be good. It's quite possible the change in humidity or temperature is actually triggering the problem and that is why it only happens during the rain.
