Default anyone have a supercharged 1997-2001 automatic??

curious if anyone has a jackson racing supercharger on their automatic 1997-2001 prelude and if so what is are the specs or numbers your car is putting out???. Hp and Tq quatermile times. I know i can go to the jacksonracing website, but i want to know auto times. I know everone on here wants to go turbo and hates the autos lol but that is what I have and i cant change it if anyone wants to view the fastest cars in illinois go to http://www.hondaddy.com thats our website and there are tons of fast cars for your enjoyment. please i see people reading my post so if anyone know at all what the auto preludes are doing let me know. my pops has a sweet civic b16a2 supercharged running 11lbs boost and pushing mid to high 13s and i like the idea that many people in illinois from what ive seen dont use the superchargers so i like being diff and to be honest there are low maintence and really dont have to do anything to them and your car doesnt over heat and they make a cool noise too.

I'm also interested in this topic. I looked up posts from sharkcohen, but none of them showed his set up. I know there is a guy on this site with a built automatic turbo. Might want to hit him up on how he built up his transmission.

ok thanks are you also interested? im not so worried about my transmission thats rebulit already but more so just wanted to know what an auto prelude supercharger puts out # wise. i know jackson racing says with stick 235 wheels and 190 tq which is nice. just want to see what an automatic can put out. I have nothing bad to say with the superchargers we have here. i had an auto civic and would kill integras and civic si with it lol was fun and now i want to buy one for my prelude 1997 and just want to see any info if anyone did it. also if your bored and want to look at the only import races that i know of around the states go to our website at http://www.hondaddy.com click on videos and have fun. also click on mascott and you will see our dog civic sitting on a 13 sec civic b16a2 supercharged running 11 lbs which is real fun and kicks butt.

Spend the money converting to 5spd instead.

I bet an auto is best for consistent times. It seems to me that the more power your car makes the more difficult it is to have consistent 1/4 mile passes....just look at top fuel rails, half the time they smoke their tires. Anyway, I wouldn't suggest putting a blower on your car. I have never personally dealt with an auto honda tranny but everyone says they are terrible. More power will just expedite problems with the tranny.

If you really want info, go to coprelude.com, check out the site, sign up and pm Geramy on there, he ran that setup for 4-5 years until he finally did the 5 spd swap a few months ago, along with oh bumping his boost up to about 17 lbs, adding nitrous and some other stuff at the same time. He ran a 9 lb pulley on his jrsc before, and at about sea level ran a 13.89.

17lbs with a Supercharger?!?!?!

Want consistency with a manual? Invest in a 2 step rev limiter.....

I wonder what happens to the efficiency of the JRSC above 10psi. Does anyone on this forum have experience boosting above the 9lb pulley with a JRSC?

why with the endyn Blower mods geramy's IAT's were at 160, at 15lbs of boost

yep 17lbs. he was running a normal pully setup, but is now running a fully custom Cog pully setup

a couple of his posts from PO quoted

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by geramy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">UPDATE

Got the cog pulleys on the car.

It now makes and HOLDS 17psi of boost

Launching off the two step results in almost 20psi of boost :bigok:

The pulleys were tested using a 1/2 inch belt that was already cut to the correct length... but the skinny belt ended up breaking so Peterson Fluid Systems is making a wider/stronger belt. Should be cut tuesday of this week.

The car makes 210lbs of torque at 3000RPM but needs to be retuned as it is running rich after that (the car made 210lbs of torque peak the last time we tried to tune it)

He said 17lbs at one point then went on to say a 9lb pulley. Anyway 17lbs seems like WAY to much and it would be heatsoaked way before then.

You also have to realize when souping up a auto lude that auto trannies are very weak. It doesn't matter if it was rebuilt, that bish will start lagging in no time with power. You see when modding a auto lude not only do you have to mod the car to make it faster but it's almost a must that you must upgrade the auto tranny too to keep up with the power reliably with such things as a tranny cooler etc. It's almost double the work to get a auto lude fast and reliable.
