Default ADVISE b18c5 or built b16a3!!

so i got a rod knock in my 2001 type r. gonna start pulling the motor tomorrow. i wanted to go the cheapest route and still produce max power. i have a brand new high compression b16a3 sittin here. head with titanium valves, titanium retainers, dual valve springs, 4 angle valve job and diamond milling with the block that has big dome probe pistons with a reinforced blockgaurd still on stock bore. this motor is suppose to hit at least 12.5:1 compression. i wanted to avoid racing gas and might be on the edge there. would the best solution be fixing the type r block which already has ctr pistons bc spec 3 cams, change the cams over to my b16 head and just swap heads w/ 370cc injectors. or swap motors out and put all my type r bolt ons including my type r tranny on the b16? i hate to lose the b18c5 but i'm on quite a budget right now and still wanna get best performance. would i expect more power for that built head on the b18 bottom end??

well. you could drop in the b16 while your rebuilding your c5 block, the problem is the b16 doesnt have alot of trq and when you have a heavier car like an integra fully loaded b16 trq doesnt go too far,

if you wanted to go cheap you could pick up a ls short block for ilke 100 bucks, put an balanced ls crank, ls rods, forged 12.5 pistons, arp rod bolts.

but anything other than a b18c5 stamped motor is going to hurt the value of your car,

he is right without b18c engine people tend to down grade value.what about buying the ls engine swap in rod, crank and ctr piston in the c5 block.more displacement increase trq and hp
