Default Front brake rotor and pads recommendations?

hey guys, newbie here - 2002 Civic EX 2Dr.
i need new front brakes and i'm looking for recommendations. i live in pittsburgh, pa and drive about 80 miles/day roundtrip for work. my drive is 1/3 city (stop and go, mostly hilly) and 2/3 highway. i drive pretty fast and i'm kind of hard on brakes sometimes. i want pads and rotors that work well and have low dust (don;t we all?)
i'm leaning towards the EBC ultimaxx rotors and pads. i like the EBC greenstuff pads because i'm familiar with them from their motorcycle pads, but it looks like you're supposed to use the ultimaxx pads with the ultimax rotors. i like these rotors because they only have small slots on them and they are coated black.

i also saw the plain brembo discs in the forum marketplace for a really good price.

recommendations?

I would recommend Hawk HPS pads, Brembo Blank rotors, some upgraded brake fluid (like Motul), and stainless brake lines leading to the calipers. That'd be a huge upgrade in braking performance.

here's a link to those EBC rotors i was talking about:
http://www.ebcbrakes.com/rotorinfo.html
I thought that these would look good, but not eat through pads like a drilled/slotted rotor would?

the price of those brembo blanks is tough to beat though. i'll have to check to see if that vendor still offers them at that price. maybe brembo blanks and EBC greenstuff pads???

I've had a few problems with EBC pads chunking. I'm not a huge fan of their products.

I've heard good things about the Axxis pads, but am not 100% certain on the PBR's.

http://www.buybrakes.com, http://www.fastbrakes.com are also good sources for brake pads/rotors.

I currently run Hawk pads and Brembo blanks on my 02 civic and they work great. So good that I had someone rearend me about a week after I installed them because I had to slam on my brakes for a cop coming across the intersection and they couldnt stop as fast

But I ran Axxis Metal Masters on the Subaru and had no complaints with those either.

I got mine (hawk pads, brembo rotors) for like $145 shipped from tirerack.com and they were here in a couple days.
