my car just made this grinding noise n my car just died, my friend tried jumping me and i popped the clutch and still no start. my starter wont even crank some1 please help mee!!!

 

Hopefully your timing belt did'nt snap...
What car, Motor, etc...?

 

all iknow is that i just got it and it has a stock motor 93 prelude vtec

 

does it make any noise when tryin to start?

 

all it does is makes a click noise.

 

Are your other electronics working? That happened to me before. Try checking your grounds and if you have sand paper or a tooth brush, try cleaning up the battery terminals.

 

the terminals are all clean, and now im at home tryna figure out whats up with my prelude. im not quite sure which grounds i should chek all the things off the starter seems tightened

 

Are you getting power though? Your headlights and radio and everything else are getting power?

 

i would pop the side cover for the timing belt off. make sure the timing belt didnt give up on u.

 

could it be his ignition switch?

 

check your distributor to see if the gear is locked up

 

Check your grounds,
Remove the Valve Cover and see if the timing belt is there and in one piece,
Check the battery for power.

why the hell are you trying to diagnose a problem, road-side?

do you intend on installing a brand new timing belt, starter, etc. on the side of the road with your emergency blinkers on?

 

do u hear ur fuel pump? my car does this sometimes when im trying to start it in the morning. turn on ur headlights...are they bright? if so, crank the key, turn on the headlights, then off, then it might start. has worked for me before...dont ask me why.

if u havent fixed by now... what it my be is ur baterry is dead or ur alternator is messed up same thing happened to me but my tach and speed ometer went crazy before it did all of this

 

Any word yet on what went wrong? Almost sounds like a t-belt but I need more info...
