ok well im putting the finishing touches on my car...its taken a whole year to rebuild it..ill make a thread when its complete....but anyways so im putting in a deck since the car has no stereo... so i got a wiring diagram from the12volt.com and connected it up right an everything and it wont power on...i tested the 12 volt switched(red/yellow) and the 12 volt constant (white/blue) im getting power from the switched wire but nothing from the constant. so the deck is unable to power up..what i cant figure out is why theres no power going to the constant, i checked with a multimeter and it was giving out nothing. so my question is what could be causing this as i checked the interior fuses and they all looked ok...as i have no idea which fuse does what, but they all looked ok... soo i have no idea maybe i missed something...any ideas??

 

Check the number 12 fuse. For some reason, its not listed in the diagram on the fuse panel cover, but this fuse is for the interior light, the clock AND (unlisted) the radio 12v constant.

I fucked with my stereo for like 4 hours after i checked the number 17 fuse and it was fine... then i looked in the service manual and see 2 fuses listed... second one was burnt to ****.

Also fixed my non-working dome light and clock

If for some reason thats not it, you can run a new wire from the number 12 fuse and use that for constant.

Oh and make sure youre testing the right wire... Wiring diagrams for my car were all slightly different from what i actually had under the dash.
