Has anyone bought the projectors off ebay, how do they compare to prelude 1987 setup.

Those are for a '97 - '01 5thGen. Not anything else...

The OP is mentioning prelude1987's retrofitted headlights.

The eBay projectors do not even compare. There is a reason why true HID retrofitted headlights are expensive.

I have a set of HID's already. I need a set of projectors so what is the difference between a retro fit and these one's on ebay? There use to be a diagram of how to retrofit your head lights online, but I can't seem to find it does anyone know?

uhh the difference is the longevity of the system, focus(cutoff for projection), glare. thats most of it i think. HIDkits aren't really for lighting the road in my opinion, its just so people who dont know what real hids look like will be like "oooh... those lights are shiny"

Those Ebay headlights use a non-HID type of projector, they're more likely for halogen bulbs. Retrofits use projectors that were meant to deal with the light output from HIDs.

exactly...When putting HIDs into halogen projectors, expecially cheap ebay ones, your light output won't be all that great like you would want it to be
