hi everyone my problem is when i turn on my car only in the morning or when the motor is cold and hasnt been on for a while the car will idle at about 100 rm. almost about to turn off but doesnt then it revs up by itself to 1300 rpm then back down to about 200 if i try to give it gas it sputters but never turns off after about 3 times that it doses that its warms up that way but not going down to 200 rpm it reves up and down from 1000rpm to 1800rpm till its warm n steadily idles at about 1000 rpm. this only happens when its cold any help is appreciated thank

 

check your IAVC (idle air control valve) those tend to go bad once in a while.

 

yeah try cleaning the IAVC with brake cleaners. it works sometimes

or sometimes if your water level is low in your radiator the idle tends to do that as well

 

brake or carb cleaner. same thing
