b16 crx, vtec trouble

Default b16 crx, vtec trouble

ok, i am not getting any ecu codes, so does that mean the wiring is correct ?

vtec is not working.. anything thoughts ?

check the ground wires and check the solenoid, checking the oil will be good thing to do also..

Is your speedo working? Also, let the engine get warm before you drive it so that VTEC will kick in.

bad knock sensor,
vtec solenoid,
or operator error?

You would get a code if you have a knock sensor or vtec solenoid malfunction. Have you checked the pressure at the front of the head around the Vtec rpm engagement?

just test the solenoid with +12v from battery, it should click .. after that check the connectivity from ecu to solenoid, which ecu ? PR3 or PWO I'm assuming ...

Make sure you have a manual ECU.
